Dexter Galvin is SVP Climate and Climate Ambassador at EcoVadis. He speaks on corporate decarbonisation, sustainable finance and climate resilience, with deep experience in Scope 3 and supplier engagement. During sixteen years at CDP, he built and led its Supply Chain programme and became Chief Commercial and Partnerships Officer. He is a GHG Protocol adviser and co-host of The Scope 3 Podcast.
Dexter Galvin is SVP Climate and Climate Ambassador at EcoVadis, working with colleagues and partners on supply-chain decarbonisation and reliable supplier carbon data. His writing and speaking connect corporate decarbonisation, sustainable finance and climate resilience: how companies cut emissions, fund the transition and prepare for climate impacts. He coauthored EcoVadis’s 2026 technical whitepaper Beyond Disclosure: Building Trust in Supplier GHG Data with Quentin Fornezzo. During his CDP career, from 2008 to 2024, he built and led the Supply Chain programme, launched Action Exchange and developed the Supplier Engagement Rating with colleagues. The programme brought major buyers and suppliers together on climate, water and forests. He led CDP’s global commercial business from 2017 to 2024, leaving as Chief Commercial and Partnerships Officer. His team’s work included supplier-finance collaborations with Walmart and HSBC, and with Vodafone and Citi. An adviser to the GHG Protocol, he has contributed to Scope 3 standard reviews and the early work of SBTi and Pathfinder, now PACT. His wider contributions include the NZDPU Technical Advisory Board, Scope 3 Impact Delta’s Advisory Council and the Sustainable Agriculture Initiative. He has joined COP discussions, moderated a World Bank roundtable and contributed to ITU and OECD forums. His work with business audiences spans Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas. He co-hosts The Scope 3 Podcast with Oliver Hurrey and Tom Idle. His published work and contributions to research are referenced in academic studies and books.
